‘Every great man nowadays has his disciples, and it is usually Judas who writes the biography.’—Oscar Wilde
Much of the salacious garbage said about our favorite G-Man, J. Edgar Hoover, has been debunked. Including the idiocy about his cross-dressing. For more on this topic, read Dr. Ted Baehr’s article at World Net Daily.
It’s also always seemed odd to me that anti-conservative advocates on the Left seem so obsessed with what Hoover did in his bedroom as if that would change the rightness of his hatred for Communism and Totalitarianism in general. In fact, if he was Gay, then all the more reason not to want to see his society fall into the abyss of a 1984-like universe of proscribed behavior and attitudes. It’s not like homosexuality is a welcome aspect of totalitarian cultures. Many modern-day examples of this.
The key takeaway here is that the Flying Spaghetti Marxists LOVE to attack a man by way of the very thing they then turn around and proclaim is an offense in itself. In this case, Homophobia. How very odd indeed. Incidentally, the man who leveled the wildest accusations against Hoover is none other than Pulitzer-Prize winning conspiracy-theorist and professional character assassin, Anthony Summers in his book “Official and Confidential: The Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover”.
Incidentally, our pal Anthony is on his FOURTH marriage. That’s 1, 2, 3, 4. Now I don’t care if you marry 12 times but you would think that a man who can’t seem to hang on to a marriage would keep his bloody mouth shut about The Lives of Others (GREAT film!). But of course, this doesn’t apply when you make a living out of destroying people, does it? And more importantly, destroying Pro-West, Pro-American, Anti-Communist “white” males. The bane of our Civilization’s existence, ne?
I personally detest this cultural penchant for building people up as Gods and then destroying them. Many Americans make a sport of this. In fact, our modern day media machine is based on it.
My perspective on moral judgment is that after a man has passed, he should be held to his BEST in life unless his actions are truly so egregious that he is simply not deserving.
Whatever his real or imagined flaws, J. Edgar Hoover deserves our respect and gratitude for his defense of our realm. And history now demonstrates that he was RIGHT about the actual (and not imagined) Marxist infiltrators in our Government, Universities, and Media.
